Christmas is over!

Well, did you make it through Christmas? Why does it seem like people that normally have nothing to say come up with the stupidest comments at this time of the year? One of my brothers in law came up with more than his normal dose of insensitivities. With Christmas also comes my birthday. I had my 26th birthday this year. Oh how time does not fly when you are TTC.

Although we are almost through this holiday season I want to share this link with you. It is a great EFT session to help with this time of the year. Take a few minutes to go through it and look around at the other things.

Is there really anything out there new to read?

So, I have my appointment at the fertility clinic in a little over a week. I have requested all the info from my past tests to take along. The ex-rays from my HSG came last week along with the report. Looking at them got me researching again. After about a week of reading and scanning I have discovered that there is very little that I haven't at least heard of. The internet really makes all this a lot faster and easier.

One of the things that I hope to find out is whether I have a bicornuate uterus or a uterine septum? They look the same on an ex-ray, but you need an ultrasound to distinguish which it is. For one you just live with it, the other can be corrected with surgery. Neither one is really linked to infertility but they both can effect pregnancy and birth.

Yoga for fertilty

I made an appointment with a fertility clinic but they are so full that they can't see me until Nov 3. This is always about waiting a month. Oh well, I am an expert wait-er.

What I really wanted to write about was yoga. I have practiced yoga in the past, but I didn't really understand how helpful it is for fertile relaxation and how it can actually enhancing fertility. Relaxation is sooooo important to fertility. I don't mean the "just relax and you will get pregnant" kind of relaxing, I mean the true relaxing, that brings a much needed sense of peace to your spirit and restores proper hormonal function.

The following is from my favorite fertility website, http://natural-fertility-info.com/fertility-yoga

"Some of the benefits of Fertility Yoga…
“Resets” your endocrine system and balances your hormones
May help to clear adhesions and blockages in the reproductive areas
Increases circulation to your vagina, uterus, and ovaries
Supports a healthy immune system and supports the body in detoxifying
Brings peace and vitality to your conception journey
Creates an environment of clarity and self exploration
Infertility Issues That May Be Helped by Fertility Yoga
Given the benefits listed above that can be received when practicing fertility yoga, the following health conditions that may be causing infertility can greatly benefit from these exercises:
• Hormonal imbalance
• Endometriosis
• Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
• Reproductive organ scarring
• Problems with ovulation
• Uterine Fibroids"

If you want to give it a try I recommend Bend, Breath, and Conceive Fertility Yoga with Anna Davis. This DVD has a more then just the yoga practice, it explains the whys and benefits. Go for it, you will love it.

Best wishes a fertile hopes,

The Welcome Womb

I am so excited the begin this blog. I want to create a place to share stories and info about fertility and related issues. I call it The Welcome Womb. I considered calling Ladies in Waiting, but I feel that it is best to keep things in the positive.

My fertility journey has been six years so far. Over these last six years I have tried just about every natural remedy known to man. Somethings gave me results, others just gave me headaches. I plan to share those experiences and successes to let others know what therapies are out there.

I am now beginning medical therapies. Excited and hopeful!
